BIO Alpharetta, GA 1966 “I paint to learn more about myself.” LK After graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, Lorra worked for years in the financial services industry. She felt a creative void and once she moved to Georgia, she decided to make a change and enrolled in interior design courses at The Atlanta College of Arts. Exposure and interest in interior design led to painting. She is self taught but has taken painting classes in Africa, France and in the U.S. She is represented by two Georgia galleries, dk Gallery and High Country Art, and in Florida, The Studio Gallery 30a. She has exhibited at the Swan House, Atlanta Botanical Garden and the Southeastern Designer Showhouse. Her work has been featured on Tamara Day’s HGTV / Magnolia Network show “Bargain Mansions.” Her mixed media work has been featured in solo and juried shows.
