I began painting hummingbirds in memory of my father.  We used to sit on his porch in East Texas, watching them dance through the air. These paintings reflect the energy and movement of hummingbirds. Like much of my work these paintings balance realistic imagery with the abstract. I love the joyful energy these birds bring us.
